Program Expansion

The Visual Arts Education Center will more than double the space available for Arts Council exhibits and programs. However, growing, as an organization isn’t just about increasing square footage, above all it is about expanding programs to meet the changing needs of our community.

In total, more than 100,000 people participate each year in one or more Arts Council programs or events; and as much as 70% are from outside of Everett. The new center will offer the capacity to triple the number of people served and broaden our outreach efforts to better meet the needs of the entire county.

With increased programming space, specialized production spaces and all resources on-site there will be opportunities for a wide variety of skills levels, whether you are an accomplished artist or exploring new interests. We will encourage everyone to stroll in, witness artists at work, and participate in the creative process.

In 2008, a Program Expansion Committee will be formed to evaluate the objectives for the art center and to determine the best ways to grow and implement programs to serve all populations effectively and inclusively.
